Here the English version to Germana Beret.

size: adult medium, circumference: 59cm

materials: Aslan Trends Ecolana color 14 (a half ball) = color A

Cisne Romantic brown (enough to make de ribs)= color B

Circular needles: 3,5 and 4mm

gauge: 18sts = 10cm with Ecolana and 4mm needles

 

Key:

K – knit

P – purl

Sts- stitches

m1- make 1

p2tog – purl two together

1k, 1p – ribs 1/1

 

Directions:

With the color A, cast on 3 stitches with the 3,5mm needles and work an I-cord for 3 cm

Increases:

First work:

k1, m1, k2 (total: 4sts)

Now, working in circular rows using the magic loop using the circular needles or use the double point needles set

row 1: k1, m1, 4 times (8sts)

row 2 and all even rows: knit – change the needle to 4mm

row 3: k1, m1, 8 times (16sts)

row 5: k1, m1, k1, 8 times  (24sts)

row 7: k1, m1, k2, 8 times ( 32sts)

row 9: k1, m1, k3, 8 times ( 40sts)

row 11: change the stitch to the wrong side of knit – p1, m1, p4, 8 times

row 12 and all the follow even rows: purl

still increasing 8 stitches in each 2 rows until you will have 160 stitches (total) or 20 stitches in each section.

boby:

work 5 cm (purl) without increase or decrease

decreases:

row 1: p2tog, p18, repeat until the end

row 2 and all even rows: purl

row 3: 2pjt, p17, repeat until the end

still working decreases all odd row until the work have 96 sts or 12 sts in each section.

ribs:

change to color B and knit 1 row

change the needle (3,5mm) and work in ribs (1k, 1p) for 7 cm.

Bind off loosely.
